NW Systems × Three Suites
Platform X is a sports bar based in Birkdale Village, Southport, offering a range of interactive experiences including darts, pool, shuffleboard and more. Looking to expand their offering ahead of The Open at Royal Birkdale, the goal was clear. Create a premium golf simulator experience and position Platform X as a go-to venue for golf enthusiasts and event groups during one of the busiest periods in the local calendar.
Working in partnership, Three Suites designed and installed the simulator bay, sourcing Trackman hardware directly, while NW Systems delivered a high performance simulation PC built specifically to run the system smoothly and reliably.
The Setup
The installation features a Trackman IO Duo system, paired with a high performance PC designed to handle demanding simulation software with ease. The system was built around an Intel platform for stability and consistency, alongside an RTX 5070 graphics card to ensure smooth visuals and accurate rendering throughout use.
The result is a responsive, high fidelity simulator experience that performs consistently under continuous daily use.

The Challenge
One of the key challenges was network connectivity. With the router located a significant distance from the simulator bay and no wired connection available at the time, maintaining a stable connection was critical.
To overcome this, the system’s magnetic WiFi antenna was repositioned discreetly behind the metal cabinet. This kept the setup clean and out of sight while achieving a stable connection of around 80Mbps, which proved more than sufficient given the distance from the router.
The Result
Since installation, the simulator has performed reliably with no issues reported. The system has been in consistent use, often running throughout the day, without any performance concerns.
Feedback from Platform X has been very positive, with the simulator quickly becoming a popular feature within the venue. Customers have commented on both the visual quality and overall performance, helping reinforce the goal of delivering a premium experience.
With The Open approaching, Platform X is now well positioned to attract golf fans and groups looking for a high quality simulator environment in the heart of Birkdale.
